Promotional offers

From time to time Solotoca.com may run promotions and offers on selected products or lines. All qualifying Promotional Offers will be automatically applied to your order when placed through our website. All our Promotional Offers are subject to the below terms and conditions:

Placing an Order

By placing an order with us you agree to and accept these Terms. If you are unhappy with or unclear about any aspect of these terms, please contact one of our customer service advisors before placing an order with us, either email us at contact@solotica.com, reach us by phone on +971 4 338 1690 or by post using the address given above. Calls to our Customer Service team are charged at the local or international rates dependent on your location. Calls may be recorded for training and monitoring purposes.

Solotica.com provide contact lenses with both prescription power and plano (non-powered contact lenses). Solotica.com being based in the United Arab Emirates operates under UAE law where there is no requirement to submit your prescription before purchasing contact lenses. If you would like that we verify your prescription prior to dispatching your order we are very happy to do this and you can email your prescription to us at contact@solotica.com prior to placing your order. Toric Lenses for Astigmatism are custom made products manufactured to your prescription as entered on the website. Once your order is confirmed it cannot be cancelled or amended as the production process has started and the lenses are custom made to order. We will always request to confirm your prescription for toric contact lenses.

The contact lens specification transmitted in your order is valid and corresponds to the most recent fitting carried out by a registered optician or ophthalmic medical practitioner and is no more than one year old. Optimal use of contact lenses is assured if the wearer is familiar with the care and handling of contact lenses and regularly takes part in the necessary ophthalmological examinations, in order to prevent any damage to the eyes.

We explicitly request that contact lens wearers should have their eyes examined at least every year, with fitting check every 6 months or as per their optician’s guidance. If the wearer has changed their brand, they should have the fit checked carefully by an ophthalmologist or a contact lens specialist. Regarding risks and side effects, please consult an ophthalmologist or contact lens specialist and make sure you read the manufacturer’s information enclosed with each product.

The respective manufacturer is exclusively responsible for the compatibility of the delivered products. Merchandise is delivered in the manufacturer’s original, unopened factory packaging. We accept no liability for incorrect use or improper handling. In order to ensure good health of your eyes, the recommended wearing period must not be exceeded. Should you develop any form of ocular irritation, please remove the contact lenses immediately and contact an ophthalmologist or eye specialist.

We reserve the right to contact your eye care provider regarding any issues with your prescription.

By placing an order via this Website, you are making an offer to Solotica.com to purchase the goods detailed in your order upon the terms described in your order.

Once you have placed an order for goods we will send you confirmation that your order has been received, this is not a confirmation that your offer to purchase the goods (or for them to be delivered) has been accepted. A contract between you and Solotica.com for the sale and delivery of our goods will only exist once an order has been accepted, processed, and dispatched to you.

Payment could not be easier with Solotica.com. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and PayPal for all international orders and within the United Arab Emirates we also accept Cash on Delivery for orders up to 1,500 AED. We do not accept cheques or money transfer. Payment is made through our payment gateway providers, Ayden and PayPal, currency conversion fee’s may apply for further details please check www.paypal.com or directly with your bank. We reserve the right to change and update our payment providers at any time.

Order Delivery

Please note that a delivery charge will be added to your order value where appropriate. The delivery charge is added once discounts have been deducted. To check the applicable delivery tariff for your country please refer to our Express Shipping Tool.

All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates and may be subject to change and not guaranteed. As your order progresses through the courier network your estimated delivery date will become more accurate and you can check this using the tracking link that is shared by email when your order is dispatched. We are not responsible for any delay, lost package or damage (either direct or indirect) that is beyond our reasonable control, including where you are not available to take delivery of your order, request postponement or changes to delivery address. Lost packages, damages or any issue with the product must be reported to contact@solotica.com within 10 days of order being received. If your order was not received this must be reported within 30 days of the order being dispatched. You may also be required to contact the courier to raise a case for non-delivery or damage where applicable. The Case ID must be shared with Customer Service (contact@solotica.com)on the above email address to allow for follow up with the courier on your behalf.

Our Customer Service team will be happy to assist with changing your preferred delivery address should this be required. However, once your order has been processed and dispatched, we will not be able to change your address as your order is now in the courier network. Our Customer Service team are available 24/7 to help with any queries you have and can be reached through chat, email, or phone.

By accepting these terms and conditions you are making an offer to Solotica.com to deliver the goods detailed in your order upon the terms and charge described in your order. Ownership, title and risk of the goods will pass to you when the goods are placed at your disposal (the delivery address requested on order), a signature is not required for your order and delivery is to your designated shipping address.

Conformity of Goods

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time of going to press. However, specifications, images and descriptions of products on this Website are not intended to be binding and are intended only to give a general description and representation of the products. Due to the nature of the products the final look may vary based on your natural eye colour, complexion and also the device that you are viewing the website and product from. Furthermore, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in the colour caused by the browser software, the computer operating system used to view the products or the opacity of the lens when worn.

Stock Availability

We endeavour to display all items currently available on our website and aim to hold stock of all ranges and powers while a product is active. Occasionally, an item will be out of stock. Where the item is out of stock but we expect to receive a delivery soon you can request that we notify you once the item is available, you can do this by using our notification tool available on the product page. Once the item has been received and is available to order we will notify you to the email address that you have provided on the notification tool. Your right to cancel

You have a legal right to change your mind and cancel your order within 14 days of receipt and receive a refund of all charges for the cancelled goods and the delivery charges. We will process the refund without delay and in any event not later than (a) 14 days after the day we receive back from you any products supplied and confirm that products have been returned in line with our return policy, or (b) if there were no products supplied, 14 days after the day on which we receive your cancellation notification. Parcels returned by courier and post are returned at your own cost. Our Returns Policy

If you are not entirely happy with the goods that you have chosen you may return them to us within 30 days of receipt in accordance with our returns policy.

If you return any products in accordance with our returns policy, we will be happy to offer you an exchange or, if you wish, a refund provided that the products are returned complete, in perfect condition, unused and unopened in original packaging.

The cost for returning items is free within the United Arab Emirates using our preferred courier service. International returns should be sent via a tracked delivery service and the delivery cost is paid by the customer. We regret that we are not able to refund any courier, postage, or duty charges.

We can provide a return shipping label for international returns using our preferred courier service at a cost of $40 USD.

Returning your items

When returning a product under our returns policy, certain items cannot be returned, for example, opened contact lenses and made to order contact lenses.

When returning your items please provide proof of purchase (your order number, full name and email address used when purchase made) within the return. If you are unable to find your order number please reach to our Customer Service team and they will be able to help, you can also find your order number by checking in your My Account page.

Please note that we are only able to issue a refund back onto the original payment method used (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, PayPal etc ).

Customs and Import Duties

All prices quoted on this Website are accurate at the time of publication, are quoted in USD or where available the currency in the country you are ordering and delivering to. If your currency is not available, you will be charged in USD. Customs duties or import duties levied once the package reaches your destination country are paid by us and applicable destination taxes have also included at the point of payment, please check our Express Shipping Tool for details related to your specified country.

US Customs

Due to customs restrictions on total or combined orders to a single US address, if you are placing an order of over $1,000 please call our call our helpful Customer Service team on +971 4 338 1690 or reach us via email at contact@solotica.com and we will be happy to help ensure your order gets placed and processed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Contact Lens Prescription Verification – US Customers

When placing an order for delivery to the United States of America we will ensure that your contact lens prescription is verified. This ensures that your order complies with the US FCLCA (The Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act) regulations.

We always aim to make this process as easy as possible for you and you can either provide us with a copy of your current contact lens prescription, this must include your full details (Name, Address, Prescription Power and Brand/Manufacturer) and also the full details of your optometrist (Name, Address and Telephone Number). You can email your current contact lens prescription to contact@solotica.com. Alternatively, if you do not have a copy of your prescription this isn’t a problem, we only need the Name and Contact Details, including Telephone Number for your optometrist and we will then submit the verification request. We submit this request by calling your optician. The verification request asks that your optometrist verifies the prescription of the products you have ordered and that they confirm this to solotica.com (the seller/vendor) either through email or by phone. The FCLCA requires that we wait a minimum of 8 hours from submitting the verification request to your optometrist before we can ship your order. The 8-hour time window is applicable during your optometrists standard business hours and is not applicable outside of this time. This allows time for your optometrist to respond to the request at their convenience. The response from your optometrist can be received either through email or phone to our team. To ensure that your optometrist has time to respond please be advised that it can take up to 24 hours for the reply to be received, due to time difference and their working hours. In situations where your optometrist doesn’t confirm your prescription request within the 8-hour timeframe, your prescription is automatically verified and solotica.com (the seller/vendor) is allowed to ship the products to the customer.
